Voicing: Unison / 2-Part Treble
Arranger: Anna Laura Page
Composer: Conrad Kocher
Author: Folliot S. Pierpoint
This lovely setting of the beloved hymn, For the Beauty of the Earth, makes an ideal selection for older elementary choirs or any choir of unison/2-part voices. After singing the traditional DIX tune on stanza 1, a new melody spotlights stanza 2. Congregation then has the opportunity to join the choir on stanzas 3 and 4 with the two melodies partnering together on stanza 4. A simple, yet charming flute part provides a nice complement to the piano accompaniment during the song's introduction, interludes, and ending.
