Voicing: Unison/two-part choir, congregation, flute, oboe, organ, and opt. handbells (3 Octaves)
Arranger: Michael Bedford
Combining the powerful Isaac Watts text with the lovely English tune Forest Green, this hymn concertato is accessible for even a small children choir. The first verse is sung in unison, followed by a second verse where each melodic phrase is split between Part I and Part II. On the third verse, the congregation sings the melody while the choir adds a simple descant. A separate congregation part may be duplicated for worship bulletins. Appropriate for festivals or general use.
