This set of two pieces provides a perfect opportunity for younger singers to share in both Palm Sunday and Easter celebrations. 1. 'Hosanna! Hosanna!' is an energetic anthem announcing Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem. It can be used as a call to worship or processional for Palm Sunday. The recurring refrain and repetitive text make the piece easy to learn and also works well with combined choirs-children, youth, and adult. 2. 'Joyful Easter Day' is a spirited anthem, joyous and child-centered, ideal for beginning music readers. Handchimes and percussion provide additional interest and color to the celebratory feel of the piece.
