For SATB Voices, divisi, with Cello
Arranged by Ryan Nowlin
Attributed to Azriel Dovid Fastag, a Hasidic Jew, and composed on a cattle car headed for Treblinka. Jews trapped in the ghettos and concentration camps during World War II found solace in this song. This beautiful arrangement for SATB choir and cello is heartfelt with the cello establishing a mournful tone while the choir sings the melody polyphonically weaving the sorrow between voices. Insightful notes along with an easy to interpret Pronunciation guide are provided and the cello part is included in the back of the octavo.
