Accappella Secular with percussion

Your singers are encouraged to create their own speaking parts to use in the place of some or all of the suggested ones printed in the score. This is welcomed and well within the vision of why this piece was created. Original responses can open a door into the very soul of the choir. Young women from all walks of life can become aware that their classmates – whether popular or unpopular, cheerleader or not, rich or poor – all struggle with the same insecurities. It is my hope that this piece may be a springboard for discussion with your choir. May your young women be inspired to be confident, educated, and comfortable in their own skin.
