This choral work combines the familiar and classic hymn, Rise Up O Church of God with the popular contemporary hymn O Church Arise by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend. The lyrics are triumphant throughout, encouraging the body of Christ to put on the full armor of God and reach out to those in darkness. Use it throughout the year when the emphasis is on discipleship and service. And since the Lord's death and resurrection become the focus of the latter half of the anthem, it is a primary candidate for the choral Benediction on Easter Sunday. Note: the optional Brass Ensemble parts are glorious.
