Composed by John Francis Wade
Arranged by Mary McDonald
Mary McDonald's festive setting of "O Come, All Ye Faithful" is full of joy and energy! The arrangement, set in an exciting 12/8 meter with organ accompaniment, begins with choir and congregation in unison, then builds to three-part harmony. After transitioning to a new key and 4/4 time, the choir sings the middle stanza which features lush harmonies. The 12/8 tempo returns, and the choir and congregation sing the final stanza in four-part. The choir concludes the piece with a jubilant choral ending. For an exciting performance, add brass and/or handbells! Handbell orchestration (3 octaves) and brass orchestration (Score and parts for Bb Trumpet 1 & 2, Trombone 1* & 2, Tuba, Percussion & Timpani) are available separately. (*Horn in F substitute part is included.)
