This is the fourth and final movement in the song cycle Appalachian Stories for choir with fiddle accompaniment. This final movement speaks to faith: the belief that a better world awaits us on the other side of the Jordan River. There are elements of three songs interwoven here - Sweet Canaan; My Home and Jerusalem - which were all published in the renowned 19th-century hymnbook The Sacred Harp.
