SATB
Composers: Johann Sebastian Bach, Tim Sharp
Uses: Communion, Lent
Scripture: Matthew 25: 34-45
It is hard to go wrong with Bach's Prelude in C major. Tim Sharp uses the harmony from that famous Bach piece to create a new melody that is presented in a homophonic hymn-style. He pulls the text from Matthew 25:34-45 ("For I was hungry and you gave me..."). The second time around we get to enjoy the original Bach rendition under the choir. Together it brings us a very satisfying and encouraging anthem appropriate for Lent, Communion, or any service of worship about caring. Easy to Medium
