A setting of Horatius Bonar's mid-19th-century text"The Voice from Galilee" (which draws from John 4:10,13-14 and 8:12). The voice of Jesus is represented first in music, by the sound of the oboe, then in words, by the men of the choir. After each of Jesus' three invitations, the entire choir sings in response. The piece ends with the voice of Jesus echoing in our hearts.
