Voicing: SASTB, organ with handbells, oboe (or other instrument) and opt. assembly
By Paul D. Weber
"Canticle for Epiphany" is suitable for the Epiphany of Our Lord, the Time after Epiphany, and can also be used during the Christmas season. An oboe with SAB choir and four handbells dance through the Isaiah 60 text. The congregation joins in the refrain and on a verse of "O Morning Star, How Fair and Bright!" The rhythmic changes make for an exciting and celebratory liturgical piece and anthem.
