Voicing: SATB and organ with oboe and opt. assembly
By Zebulon M. Highben
New hymns by gifted authors and composers are always welcome, but sometimes tricky to introduce. This concertato by the hymn's composer solves that problem. Although the hymn was written for the second Sunday of Easter, it works equally well on many other occasions. Susan Briehl's evocative text is beautifully captured in Highben's lyrical, arching melody. Destined to become a favorite!
