"I Saw Eternity" is a choral work for mixed voices with soloists from within the choir. It was first performed by the London Philharmonic Choir in 2003. It is based on a text by Henry Vaughan, "I saw Eternity the other night Like a great Ring of pure and endless light, All calm, as it was bright . . . ," a text which makes this piece suitable for a variety of contexts, both sacred and secular.
