For Three-part Mixed Voices and Piano
By Mark Patterson
From its pensive opening plea, "Who will sing for them tonight?" this work speaks to those in need, alone, those for whom there is no one to 'sing.' Moving quickly into an energetic challenge for all to "Come, fill the night with singing!" the joyful strains of 'alleluia' are heard as the piece builds to its joyous conclusion. Commissioned for performance on the Austin, TX, All City Choral Festival, this selection will be a favorite of both singers and listeners.
