This concertato setting for Congregation, SATB, Trumpet, and Organ has a brand new hymn tune, CHRISTUS VICTOR. The text is a 1908 translation of a text written in 1689. An extensive introduction with optional cuts is followed by four stanzas (with short interludes 2-3 and 3-4). Stanza three is SATB a cappella. Stanza four is unison with descant and a trumpet descant which does NOT double the soprano!
