Congregation joins the choir on verses one and two with fanfare-like accompaniment supporting the intuitive vocal writing. The choir introduces a colorful harmonization on the third stanza. After a rousing key change, the congregation rejoins the choir for the last stanza and sopranos can soar on an optional descant. This festive concertato finishes with an exciting choral, "Alleluia!
