This setting of the ancient Eucharistic text O sacrum convivium was originally commissioned for TTBB a cappella choir by Brethren for their concert performance at the 2011 ACDA National Conference in Chicago, Illinois. The motet's voice leading, while predominantly homophonic and based on traditional principals, achieves at times gently extended and/or unresolved sonorities within a palette built entirely on the seven pitches of the diatonic major scale (B-flat/TTBB, E-flat/SATB).
