Commissioned by the Nebraska State Handbell Musicians of America in memory of Mary Kettelhut, one of the pioneers of American handbell ringing, the "Southern Harmony" hymn RESTORATION is arranged for a double choir with percussion but may also be played by a single choir. Light thumb-damping, malleting, or plucking accompany the melody, which is presented in two slightly different versions throughout. This short arrangement includes no accidentals except for the final chord and is appropriate year-round for worship or concert use.
