Star Song is a one-hour, twelve-movement work for chorus, tenor solo and chamber or full orchestra. The texts of Star Song are drawn from a variety of cultures and through a span of centuries ranging from the 8th century BCE to the present day and are sung in English, Latin, Hebrew and French (optional English). The piece begins with an orchestral overture. Then, the following eleven movements examine the idea that we are all made of atoms that are unfathomably old, having been formed at the moment of creation.
