Exercises for Developing Musicianship
By Paul Hondorp, edited by Denise Eaton
Choral Error Detection can be used for choral pedagogy, ear training, integrated listening, and score study. The text book develops audiation at the simplest level for new students of conducting by isolating single lines and improving "up and down" the score listening skills. This book includes short choral examples from the Carl Fischer Choral Music, BriLee Music, and Theodore Presser Company repertoire representative of many voicings, textures, time periods, and levels of difficulty. The accompanying CD has a performance of each excerpt with mistakes intentionally included.
