Amy Laurence, noted pianist, composer, and private piano instructor, has crafted this wonderful Christmas collection especially for the beginning pianist. Each solo has an optional duet part which can be played by the instructor or even another slightly more advanced student (maybe an older brother or sister)! Each selection is grouped under four thematic headings. The pieces can be connected by smoothly-connecting duet introductions creating wonderful Christmas medleys. Each piece increases in difficulty from the previous one. The performance length of each medley is listed on the title page to aid in programming special music for Christmas performances. Amy holds a bachelor of music in piano performance degree from Ohio State University and a master of arts in humanities from California State University. Amy received her study of the complete Suzuki repertoire under Mary Craig Powell. Her students participate in yearly auditions offered by Ohio music educators, the American college of musicians, and the associated board of Royal Schools of Music in London, England.
