Written in tribute to and inspired by the compositional style of Donald E. Allured, this original piece uses a three-note motive of D, E, and A (Allured's initials). It includes four sections: Introduction, The Dawn, Enlightenment, and Awakening. Benton used Allured's pieces "Festival," "Fountainhead," and "Prologue, Fugue, and Finale" as inspiration for this work that is ideal for an advanced choir. 94 measures.
