This work is a collection of eight Alfred Burt carols which are performed by handbells and/or with various vocal combinations. These songs were written during the early 1950s as annual Christmas greetings to the composer's friends. Some are written partially on the treble clef. Most of the titles are chordal. Titles include: "All on a Christmas Morning", "O Hearken Ye", "We'll Dress the House", "Some Children See Him", "The Star Carol", "Come Dear Children", "Caroling Caroling", and "Ah Bleak and Chill the Wintry Wind".
