Mysterium, an original composition for 2 octaves, is scored for bells and chimes. An ostinato pattern in the "A" sections provides interest for the lower chimes. Upper bells carry the melody throughout the piece. Only two ringers are required to handle both bells and chimes; an alternate assignment is suggested for the one difficult change. This title would be suitable for sacred or secular use at any time but might be particularly effective during Lent. It is 37 measures in length and is scored in g minor.
