This beloved Welsh tune is accessibly arranged for Level 2 choirs using 15, 16 or 19 bells - yet is satisfyingly musical for more advanced groups. Two settings of "Hyfrydol" are included in the folio for flexible needs: "A" for 2 octaves G4-G6 with optional C4-F4 and "B" for 3 oct. (C5-C7) with optional G4-B4. A and B are not compatible with each other, being in different keys. LV arpeggios open the piece, then a bass ostinato pattern takes over with the melody in the treble. The second section features trebles in a broken chord pattern with a strong melody in the bass. Arpeggios add the final bookend to the piece. Ideal for smaller groups or times when a ringer or two might be missing from your performance line-up and appropriate for general worship. If used in conjunction with a special liturgical season, apply any one of the many hymn texts that use this tune.
