This lovely work for piano translates equally well into the handbell genre. The single line melody of the A section must be well balanced with accompanying lower note chords. The B section is a hymn-like chordal offering in delightful contrast. Ringers will encounter duplet and triplet eighths, sometimes together, and many dotted eighth and sixteenth note patterns. Dynamic changes are an important part of making this piece effective. The setting is 44 measures in length.
