The essential unit of the bible is story, not verse. In these two SAB anthems, Lloyd Larson tells the story of Palm Sunday and it's dramatic relation to Resurrection Day. If we see only triumph in Palm Sunday, we miss the deeper truth. The true story is unfolding in the shadows; in the hearts and minds of flawed people. Remember that those who longed for Jesus to be an earthly king, not the the champion of "the least of these" – those who refused to fight against the evil that took and slew Him, were not "they".
